County Sports Partnerships (CSPs) are passionate about getting more children and young people involved in sport
CSPs encouraged more young people to try new sports and join community clubs through the successful 'Sport Unlimited' project. CSPs are now heavily involved in Sportivate encouraging more young people aged 14-25, who are not currently choosing to participate in sport to receive coaching in their sport of choice and then continue to play sport in the community.
CSPs help young leaders to volunteer in sports organisations through the Step into Sport leadership programme.
CSPs coordinate the Playground to Podium initiative to encourage young people with disabilities to progress in sport.
Many CSPs have run County Youth Games, and all are looking forward to playing a key role in the forthcoming Olympic and Paralympic Style School Games
CSPs also play a key role in safeguarding children in sport with all CSPs now having achieved the Advanced Safeguarding Standards
CSPs help join up school and community sport coordinating the work of School Sport Partnerships, NGB's, Local Authorities and other providers to provide a seamless offer for young people, and to establish links with Childrens Trusts and other key strategies and agencies
