Strictly star supports Reactivate Bucks

Strictly Come Dancing star, and local Bucks resident, Brendan Cole is supporting the forthcoming Reactivate Give it a Go Week.

The charismatic 35-year old dancer, who is one of only three professional dancers to appear in every series of Strictly since it began in 2004, has been paired with celebrity dance partners such as Natasha Kaplinsky, Destiny’s Child Star Michelle Williams, and 60’s pop icon Lulu. But now he is supporting the Reactivate campaign to help inspire local people to give sport and physical activity a go. As he says: "When you dance or do whatever else you love, you’re too preoccupied to stress or strain about anything else. It’s great."

During the forthcoming Give it a Go Week (20 to 26 February) there will be hundreds of sports and physical activities to try, many of which will be free or subsidised. For more information and to register for the latest updates and the chance to win great prizes, including tickets to see "Brendan Cole - Live & Judged" at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on 22 January see www.reactivatebucks.org .

Alternatively, if you are a deliverer of sport and or physical activity and want to promote existing or new opportunities for adults during one of the Give it a go weeks please either visit the website and upload your activity now or contact the team on 01296 585215 to discuss how we can support you to increase interest in your activities.

Give it a go week dates for 2012:

20th - 26th February
11th - 17th June
1st - 7th October
