Teenagers - particularly those from areas with higher crime levels - are at greater risk of making bad choices and coming to the notice of the police. When traditional approaches have failed, SOSI can represent a young person's best chance to break their old habits and turn their life around before it's too late.
By taking the time to understand why a young person is getting into trouble and offering them an activity rooted in self-discipline and respect for others, trust can be built and self esteem raised, with positive results for the community as a whole.
