CSPs are committed to Equality and Fairness in Sport and have a passion for increasing participation amongst under-represented and disengaged groups.
The CSP Network is committed to working with the English Federation for Disability Sport (EFDS), Women in Sport and Sporting Equals to ensure that its work is inclusive, encourages and enables all people to participate, coach and volunteer.
CSPs have led the way in the achievement of the Equality Standards for Sport, with all 45 CSPs and the CSP Network being awarded the Equality Standard.
The Equality Standard is a framework and vehicle for widening access and increasing the participation and involvement in sport and physical activity from under represented individuals, groups and communities, especially women and girls, ethnic minority groups and disabled people.
CSPs provide the following support in this area:
- Work with relevant national and local organisations to organise and promote appropriate projects for under represented groups
- Provide advice and support on how to ensure under represented groups are involved in clubs, coaching and volunteering
- Support clubs to develop Equity Guidelines
