Participants on the CSP Network leadership programme took part in the final event (Leading in a Changing World) in Nottingham early this month.
Four project groups were formed who presented their ideas to a panel (Sue Congram - leadership expert, Vicki Askew – past leadership programme participant and Richard Saunders – Chair, CSPN) on the ‘future role of CSPs / CSP Network’. Lee Mason and Adrian Ledbury (CSP Network National Team) were also in attendance.
The session was very thought provoking generating a lot of discussion and debate and their ideas will be fed into the CSP Network Next Generation Strategy process.
Richard commented “There was a lot of energy in the room and the group really embraced the need for change. It is very encouraging to know that we have 20 champions who will be CSP Network advocates and deliver great leadership qualities as we enter into this period of change”.
The programme will conclude with a 360 feedback survey for each individual followed by a final leadership coaching session in October.
The programme is led by leadership experts 'Engendering Balance' and this is the second cohort to go through the programme which is designed to develop confidence and competence of the indivduals and the leadership qualitIes of their host CSP.
The reaction to the programme has been very positive with participants commenting that the programme has helped them to understand themselves and others better, develop their personal leadership style, learn from others, connect with colleagues from across the network and pick up useful leadership tools and techniques.
