Simon Hall, Director of Active Black Country has recently started a three month secondment position with West Midlands Combined Authority (CA).
Simon’s focus will be to support the emerging West Midlands On The Move – Physical activity Strategy, with the ambition of getting the Strategy approved by its Well Being Board in May 2017.
Simon says of his new role;
“I recognise that there is much to be done to ensure that the 7 Metropolitan Cities/Boroughs, Public Health England, the 3 CSPs and Sport England realise the benefits of such work. One of the many tasks includes beginning to work with the non-constituent WMCA members including those Local Authorities who are part of the 3 Local Enterprise Partnership geographies to determine and shape the added value that the Strategy can bring.”
The West Midlands On The Move – Physical Activity Strategy is just one of the many areas of work being undertaken by the West Midlands Combined Authority in response to the CA Strategic Economic Plan.
